Job summary

Bombardier invites students to join a IT internship in our aerospace engineering division. The 8-month program offers hybrid work at our Centre Administratif location in Dorval, Canada, with opportunities to learn and test PLM solutions like TEAMCENTER and to collaborate with engineers and IT professionals.

Interns will develop skills in project and change management, configuration, data analysis, and technical troubleshooting while gaining real-world experience in enterprise IT environments.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in IT, CS, SE or related field.
• Willingness to learn IT solutions that help engineers.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Familiarity with PLM concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the IT business analysts by optimizing processes and tools for engineering.
• Learn and test PLM solutions such as TEAMCENTER.
• Collaborate with engineers and IT professionals.
• Develop skills in project management, change management, communication, and note-taking.
• Prepare and facilitate meetings.
• Explore features in the PLM system and manage configurations.
• Participate in IT solution implementations, including test scenarios.
• Analyze large data sets to identify improvement opportunities.
• Help improve change management across systems.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Support the team of business analysts in IT by contributing to the optimization of processes and technological tools that support the engineering department.
• Learn and test new Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions such as TEAMCENTER or other Siemens solutions.
• Collaborate with professionals from various fields within the aerospace engineering sector.
• Develop skills in project management, change management, communication, note-taking and action tracking, etc.
• Prepare and facilitate meetings.
• Explore how multiple features can be managed within our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution.
• Participate in the various stages of implementing IT solutions, including test scenarios.
• Analyze and manipulate large amounts of data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to improving the change management process in the different systems supporting operation.

• You are enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another relevant field.
• You are interested in IT solutions that help optimize engineers’ work.

• You demonstrate attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and are proactive in identifying and validating information.
• You are familiar with Microsoft Excel, the Office suite, SharePoint, and Teamcenter (an asset).
• You have a basic understanding of network concepts, client-server architecture, system integrations, and connectivity.
• You are interested in configuring, validating, and documenting enterprise IT solutions across development and test environments.
• You are comfortable supporting technical troubleshooting by reviewing logs, access permissions, interfaces, and configuration settings with IT teams.
• You are fluent in both English and French, spoken and written.
