Job summary

WSP in Canada is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to work with experienced engineers on projects powering communities. You will support design and delivery of electrical systems across buildings, infrastructure, and energy projects, gaining hands‑on experience and industry‑leading training.

You will contribute to load calculations, equipment selection, and design documentation while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering degree program.
• Returning to full‑time studies upon completion of the internship term.
• Strong interest in electrical systems design, power distribution, building systems, infrastructure, industrial facilities, or renewable energy projects.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, SKM, or other engineering software is considered an asset.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with an eagerness to learn.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a consulting environment.
• A valid driver's license is considered an asset for positions involving fieldwork and site visits.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project coordination, documentation, and cross‑team communication.
• Contribute to project outcomes that advance sustainable development.

Compensation

BC, AB, SK, NWT & NU: $24.00 – $32.25 per hour
MB & ON: $22.50 – $30.25 per hour
Atlantic Provinces & QC: $21.50 – $30.25 per hour
