Job summary

AlayaCare is seeking a Developer Intern to contribute to real product features alongside experienced developers. You will learn modern development practices, tools, and workflows with mentors guiding your growth in both technical and professional skills.

You’ll gain experience in coding, testing, and debugging, while applying GenAI tools to plan and test code, and participate in team rituals to build collaboration and delivery discipline.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with at least one programming language (Python, TypeScript, JavaScript).
• Demonstrated interest in AI tools with a proactive mindset to drive efficiency.
• High-achiever mindset evidenced by academic distinctions or leadership roles.
• Interest in learning Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker.
• Curiosity about current industry trends in technology and software development.

Responsibilities

About the Role

As a Developer Intern, you’ll work closely with experienced developers and product team members to contribute to real product features. Throughout your internship, you’ll contribute to meaningful projects while learning modern development practices, tools, and workflows. You’ll be supported by mentors who will help you develop both your technical abilities and professional skills.

What You’ll Do

What You Bring to the Team

• Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar).
• Demonstrated interest in AI tools, with a proactive mindset toward integrating them into day-to-day work to drive efficiency and innovation.
• Demonstrated high-achiever mindset, shown through one or more of the following: academic distinctions (Dean's List, Honours, 3.7+ GPA), leadership in a club or student organization (President, VP, or Exec), or exceptional accomplishment in a sport, hobby, or passion project.
• Interest in learning development tools and workflows such as Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker.
• Curiosity about current industry trends in technology, performance, and software development practices.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teammates.
• Bilingual in French and English is considered an asset.

Location and Work Model
