Job summary

EQ Bank in Toronto is seeking a Risk Analyst for a January–April 2027 work term. Reporting to the Director, Risk Reporting, you will support Enterprise Risk Governance and Transformation, focusing on risk reporting, data work, and AI-enabled process improvements.

You will build AI agents and automation, run SQL-based data extracts, and prepare clear analyses and presentations for stakeholders. This is a hybrid role based in our Toronto offices with flexible collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in undergraduate program in business or quantitative field.
• Hands-on experience with generative AI tools and building AI agents.
• Strong Microsoft 365 skills; Excel and PowerPoint essential.
• Experience working with datasets: cleaning, reconciling, validating data.
• Excellent analytical and communication abilities.
• Able to translate analysis into concise summaries and visuals.

Responsibilities

• Identify AI/automation opportunities to speed up risk reporting tasks.
• Develop and test AI agents and prompts; document workflows.
• Run SQL-based data extracts; transform and validate data for reports.
• Maintain reporting trackers and coordinate inputs from teams.
• Prepare concise analyses and dashboards for stakeholders.
• Support enterprise risk initiatives and governance materials.
