Job summary

EQ Bank in Toronto is seeking a Risk Analyst intern for a January–April 2027 term. You will work with risk reporting, data, and AI-enabled process improvements, helping to prepare risk reports and transform data for clearer insights.

This role suits students in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or quantitative fields who enjoy solving problems with data, prompts, and automation. You will collaborate with stakeholders across Enterprise Risk, build dashboards in Power BI, and support governance

Qualifications

Undergraduate student in business or quantitative field.
Hands-on AI tooling experience and ability to build simple AI agents.
Strong Microsoft 365 skills; familiarity with SQL and Power BI.
Experience with cleaning, reconciling, and validating data.
Able to turn analysis into clear written summaries, dashboards, and recommendations.
Strong organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

AI automation: identify tasks for AI, build/test agents and workflows.
Support monthly/quarterly risk reporting using SQL extractions and data transformations.
Prepare concise analyses, charts, dashboards, and summaries for stakeholders.
Contribute to governance materials, documentation, and cross-functional coordination.
