Job summary

CN in Toronto, ON is seeking anIntermodal Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic responsible for major and minor repairs, overhauls and servicing of intermodal cranes, terminal tractors, vehicles and equipment.

The role includes night shifts and possible weekends, with duties spanning diagnosis of diesel/gas engines, hydraulics and electrical systems, welding, and producing maintenance reports while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Diploma of Vocational Studies in Heavy Duty Mechanic.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service and maintain intermodal cranes, terminal tractors, vehicles and equipment per regulations.
• Diagnose diesel/gas engine, electrical and hydraulic faults and perform repairs.
• Use welding equipment and other repair tools safely and effectively.
• Prepare inspection, maintenance and work reports following established procedures.
