Role description:
We are currently seeking a Junior/Intermediate Transportation Engineer based in British Columbia or Alberta with the flexibility to work remotely, in a hybrid capacity, or from our Vancouver, Kelowna, Calgary, or Edmonton offices as needed.
Working closely with senior engineers and planners, this position will provide technical support and services to the Traffic Engineering and Transportation Planning team, contributing to impactful projects primarily within Western Canada.
This position is an exciting opportunity to help define the cities of tomorrow while working on innovative projects that shape sustainable and efficient transportation systems.
Role accountabilities:
As part of your role, you will work on a variety of tasks, including transportation planning/engineering and multi-disciplinary assignments for both private and public sector clients. These tasks include multi-modal transportation master plans (TMPs), active transportation (AT) projects, parking studies, transportation demand management (TDM), traffic operation studies, traffic safety studies, designing traffic signals, and microsimulation. You will assist in the preparation of reports, technical memos, and other engineering documents. These projects may include creating high-level roadway conceptual designs, such as traffic signage and pavement marking plans, as well as developing traffic management and control plans for construction activities.
