WSP is currently seeking an Intermediate BIM Modeler to join our dynamic Structural Modeling team, located at our Toronto or Thornhill office. Reporting to the BIM Manager, the successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment, requiring full project engagement in modeling innovative design solutions from inception through to construction.

What You Will Do At WSP

• Develop and model building elements using Revit software;
• Accept ownership of specific tasks within a team environment;
• Coordinate with other project disciplines;
• Support established BIM standards and modeling best practices;
• Maintain and create Revit families with advanced knowledge;
• Promote BIM technologies and practices to improve production efficiency and effectiveness;
• Attend internal and external project meetings;
• Identify and participate in training opportunities to increase technical and project knowledge.

What you bring to WSP

• 5+ years of experience working with Revit and MicroStation, with an education background in these areas;
• Experience in construction and/or consulting services;
• Excellent practical knowledge of building information modeling (BIM);
• In-depth experience modeling with Revit for medium to large-sized structural engineering firms;
• Knowledge of Revit families, templates, and Dynamo scripting;
• Understanding of interoperability of BIM modeling and design tools;
• Ability to promote and support practices that improve production efficiency and effectiveness.
