Stantec is seeking an Intermediate Structural Engineer – Buildings in Alberta to join our multidisciplinary Buildings Engineering team. You will provide technical expertise in structural building systems, coordinate with architects, engineers, and clients, and own design packages from concept through construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized university.
• P.Eng. designation or eligible to obtain within one year.
• 4+ years of post‑graduation experience in buildings/ water projects structural design.
• Experience in water, commercial, education, and healthcare sectors is a plus.
• Proficiency with structural FE design software (ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, RAM) and Revit/Bluebeam desirable.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with owners, architects, and project stakeholders to establish objectives and ensure successful delivery.
• Prepare and coordinate structural designs from concept through construction.
• Prepare design calculations, specs, and drawings for concrete, steel, masonry, and wood structures.
