Job summary

Stantec in Calgary is seeking an Intermediate Structural Engineer – Buildings to lead structural design packages for diverse facilities. You will coordinate with architects, MEP and civil teams, and interact with clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.

You will work on concrete, steel, masonry, and wood systems, applying NBCC and CSA standards. Mentorship and growth opportunities are provided within a collaborative Buildings Engineering group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; P.Eng. eligible or licensed.
• 4+ years of post-graduation experience in buildings/ water projects structural design.
• Proficiency with structural software (ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, RAM, RAM).

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design packages from concept to construction.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary work with architecture, MEP, and civil teams.
• Prepare calculations, specifications, and drawings for concrete, steel, masonry, and wood.
• Apply professional seal to documents and ensure QA/QC.
• Support business development and client interactions.
