Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Intermediate Structural Technologist to join our Calgary/Edmonton/Red Deer AB team. The successful candidate will contribute to drafting, BIM, and CAD work on municipal, commercial, and industrial projects.

You will collaborate with engineers and technicians across North America, model reviews, and coordinate drawings from design through construction completion.

Qualifications

• Experience with drafting practices, BIM and CAD platforms.
• Ability to collaborate with technicians and engineers across projects.
• Based in Calgary, Edmonton or Red Deer AB; eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drawings and models for municipal, commercial, and industrial buildings using Revit and CAD.
• Prepare presentation graphics and report figures.
• Coordinate project drawings with project managers, technical staff, and others.
• Complete model reviews and collaborate with other technical disciplines.
• Ensure that the project’s needs are met in a timely and effective manner.
• Work within the project team from initial design to construction completion.
• Support contract administration by reviewing submittals, shop drawings, and producing contract administration documentation.
• Understand and adhere to Stantec and client standards.

The successful candidate will be based in one of our Calgary, Edmonton, or Red Deer, AB offices.

Your Key Responsibilities

Using your sound knowledge of drafting practices, BIM andCAD platforms, you will work closely with other technicians / technologists and engineers to complete the following tasks:

• Prepareengineeringdrawings and create models for municipal, commercial, and industrialbuildings projects using Revit and other related CAD software.
• Prepare presentation graphics and report figures.
• Coordinateprojectdrawingswithprojectmanagers,technicalstaff,andothers.
• Complete model reviews and collaborate with other technical disciplines.
