Job summary

AppDirect et sa filiale Firstbase recrutent un développeur logiciel intermédiaire pour rejoindre l'équipe d'ingénierie. Vous contribuerez à développer et maintenir le catalogue produit, les commandes et les applications destinées aux clients, et élargirez les API backend en Java Spring avec une attention à la qualité et aux tests.

Vous travaillerez avec PostgreSQL et des systèmes de messagerie comme Kafka et SQS/SNS, et vous serez amené à concevoir des solutions techniques, écrire des tests

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 ans d'expérience en développement logiciel.
• Diplôme en informatique ou domaine connexe, ou expérience équivalente.
• Expérience en développement de backend et d'API.

Responsibilities

• Implémenter des fonctionnalités sur le catalogue produit, les commandes et les applications client.
• Construire des API REST et GraphQL avec Java Spring.
• Travailler avec PostgreSQL et des systèmes de messagerie (Kafka, SQS/SNS).
• Contribuer aux designs techniques, écrire des tests et assurer la revue de code.
• Coopérer étroitement avec les opérations pour transformer les workflows en logiciel de production.

About You

You are a Software Developer with at least 2 years of professional development experience, ready to join AppDirect’s Firstbase engineering team. Whether you hold a degree in Computer Science (or a related field) or bring equivalent hands‑on experience, you thrive on solving real‑world operational challenges.

In this role, you will help build and expand Firstbase’s platform, which provisions, tracks, and manages employee IT equipment from onboarding through return and end‑of‑life. You’ll write software used daily by our warehouse, procurement, and customer operations teams, as well as external customers.

What you'll do and how you'll make an impact

• Implement and maintain features across Firstbase's product catalog, orders, fulfillment, and customer-facing applications
• Build and extend REST and GraphQL APIs using Java (Spring) with guidance from senior engineers on design and approach
• Work with PostgreSQL and messaging systems (Kafka, SQS/SNS) as part of the platform stack
• Contribute technical designs for assigned features and stories, and explain trade‑offs to teammates
• Own the quality lifecycle for the work you deliver: write tests at the right layer (unit, integration, and end‑to‑end), participate in code review, shepherd changes through delivery, and follow through on issues after release. Quality is a shared responsibility across product, engineering, and quality engineering
• Partner closely with Firstbase operations (warehouse, procurement, and fulfillment), first‑class stakeholders in what we build. Translate their workflows and constraints into software that works in production
• Participate in team delivery practices and give and receive feedback actively
• AI‑assisted development: use coding agents for bounded tasks with review. You stay responsible for understanding the change, test coverage, and merge quality
