Job summary

Jaide Health recherche un développeur logiciel intermédiaire pour rejoindre notre équipe et contribuer au développement de nos applications backend.

Vous écrirez des services REST et GraphQL en Java (Spring), travaillerez avec PostgreSQL, Kafka et SQS/SNS, et garantirez la qualité du code via tests et revues. Le poste offre un mode hybride à Montréal et évolutivité dans une plateforme de santé numérique.

Qualifications

• Vous êtes développeur logiciel avec au moins 2 années d'expérience professionnelle en développement.

Responsibilities

• Implémenter et maintenir des features sur les catalogues produit, commandes, fulfilment et applications orientées client.
• Concevoir et étendre des API REST et GraphQL avec Java (Spring).
• Travailler avec PostgreSQL et des systèmes de messagerie (Kafka, SQS/SNS) dans la stack plateforme.
• Contribuer aux designs techniques et expliquer les compromis.
• Gérer la lifecycle qualité du travail: écrire des tests (unitaire, intégration, end-to-end) et participer aux revues de code.
• Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les opérations Firstbase (entrepôt, achats, fulfilment) et transformer leurs workflows en logiciel utilisable en production.
• Participer aux pratiques d'équipe et échanger des retours.
• Programmer avec intelligence artificielle assistée: utiliser des agents de codage sous supervision et reste responsable des tests et de la qualité des fusions.

About You

You are a Software Developer with at least 2 years of professional development experience, ready to join AppDirect’s Firstbase engineering team. Whether you hold a degree in Computer Science (or a related field) or bring equivalent hands-on experience, you thrive on solving real-world operational challenges.

In this role, you will help build and expand Firstbase’s platform, which provisions, tracks, and manages employee IT equipment from onboarding through return and end-of-life. You’ll write software used daily by our warehouse, procurement, and customer operations teams, as well as external customers.

What you'll do and how you'll make an impact

• Implement and maintain features across Firstbase's product catalog, orders, fulfillment, and customer-facing applications
• Build and extend REST and GraphQL APIs using Java (Spring) with guidance from senior engineers on design and approach
• Work with PostgreSQL and messaging systems (Kafka, SQS/SNS) as part of the platform stack
• Contribute technical designs for assigned features and stories, and explain trade-offs to teammates
• Own the quality lifecycle for the work you deliver: write tests at the right layer (unit, integration, and end-to-end), participate in code review, shepherd changes through delivery, and follow through on issues after release. Quality is a shared responsibility across product, engineering, and quality engineering
• Partner closely with Firstbase operations (warehouse, procurement, and fulfillment), first-class stakeholders in what we build. Translate their workflows and constraints into software that works in production
• Participate in team delivery practices and give and receive feedback actively
• AI-assisted development: use coding agents for bounded tasks with review. You stay responsible for understanding the change, test coverage, and merge quality
