Job summary

AppDirect, acteur mondial, recherche à Montréal un Développeur Logiciel pour concevoir et maintenir des applications backend Java robustes, écrire du code lisible et documenter les API externes, en collaboration avec les équipes produit, design et ventes.

Le poste exige au moins 3 ans d'expérience en Java, Spring, REST, Docker et Kubernetes; connaissance de MySQL/MongoDB; et esprit de travail Agile. Salaire CAD 80 000 à 100 000 par année, avec primes et avantages.

Qualifications

• Diplôme B.S. en informatique ou domaine connexe.
• 3+ années d'expérience en développement Java.
• Antécédents démontrant la livraison de solutions de bout en bout.
• Apprécie construire du code prêt pour la production et le maintenir.
• Courage pour creuser, refactorer et explorer de nouvelles technologies.
• Connaissance des technologies Web et de la création d'API REST.
• Java Core et frameworks: Spring Framework / J2EE / Reactor.
• HTML / CSS3 & JavaScript / TypeScript; expérience avec ReactJs / Redux / AngularJS est un atout.
• Node.js & frameworks: Express / HappiJS.
• MySQL / MongoDB (compréhension des procédures MySQL).
• Structures de données / Algorithmes.
• Tests unitaires avec JUnit.
• Connaissances des conteneurs: Docker / rkt.
• Connaissances d'orchestration: Kubernetes / Mesos / OpenShift.
• Messagerie: RabbitMQ / Kafka.
• Les Design Patterns ne sont pas obligatoires mais souhaitables.
• Tests d'intégration / performance non obligatoires mais souhaitables.
• Méthodologie Agile non requise mais souhaitable.

Responsibilities

• Écrire du code propre et lisible avec une conception adaptée pour des modules multi-fonctions.
• Produire systématiquement du code testable.
• Rédiger une documentation claire des endpoints et structures API externes.
• Prendre en charge des projets simples de manière autonome.
• Travailler sous la supervision d'ingénieurs seniors tout en contribuant aux réunions d'équipe.
• Livrer des systèmes et des fonctionnalités à forte valeur pour les clients et les équipes.
• Respecter les délais et effectuer des revues de code détaillées.
• Collaborer avec product management, design et ventes.

What You'll Do And How You'll Have An Impact

• Write clean, readable code with sensible design for modules containing multiple functions.
• Consistently produce testable code with a strong understanding of boundary and negative test cases. Write end-to-end tests.
• Create readable documentation for external API endpoints and structures. Leverage code from third parties or other teams with guidance.
• Take ownership of simple projects independently.
• Work under the guidance of senior engineers while contributing value to team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and retrospectives.
• Consistently deliver systems and features that provide significant value to customers and/or other teams.
• Reliably deliver quality products under deadlines. Raise issues that could impact delivery or timelines without fear of blame. Provide detailed code reviews and help document idioms and best practices.
• Collaborate shoulder to shoulder with some of the best people across product management, design, and sales.

What We're Looking For

• B.S. degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years experience developing in Java.
• Proven track record of delivering end to end solutions from scratch.
• Enjoy building production grade code then supporting and maintaining it once it goes live.
• Courage to dig-in, refactor code, and explore new technology.
• Knowledge of web service technologies and building REST APIs.
• Core Java & Java Frameworks: Spring Framework / J2EE / Reactor
• HTML / CSS3 & JavaScript / TypeScript. Added advantage if you know ReactJs / Redux / AngularJS.
• Node.Js & Node.JS Frameworks: Express / HappiJS
• MySQL / MongoDB ( Should understand MySQL procedures)
• Data Structure / Algorithms
• Unit Testing using JUnit
• Working knowledge and some experience with Containers: Docker / Rkt
• Working knowledge and some experience with Orchestration: Kubernetes / Mesos / OpenShift
• Working knowledge and some experience with Messaging: RabbitMQ / Kafka
• Design Patterns is not must but desirable
• Integration Testing / Performance Testing is not must but desirable
• Agile Development methodology is not must but desirable
