Job summary

TEEMA in Victoria, BC seeks an Intermediate Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery across multiple teams. You will facilitate ceremonies, support planning, and track progress against commitments.

You will coach teams on Agile practices, remove impediments, manage dependencies, and provide transparent status updates to stakeholders. This role blends hands-on Scrum with governance in a hybrid delivery environment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years as Scrum Master on Agile delivery teams.
  • Facilitating Scrum ceremonies and Agile planning activities.
  • Experience supporting multidisciplinary teams delivering digital products or services.
  • Experience identifying, managing, and helping resolve delivery risks, issues, impediments, and dependencies.
  • Experience coaching teams in Agile principles and practices.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with modern collaboration and delivery tools.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate all standard Agile and Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement sessions.
  • Support quarterly planning, sprint-level planning, and the maintenance of delivery roadmaps.
  • Track progress against team and initiative commitments and delivery objectives.
  • Identify, document, eliminate, and help remove delivery impediments and blockers.
  • Manage and surface cross-initiative dependencies.
  • Coach delivery teams (and broader stakeholders) on Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Lean practices to improve effectiveness and self-organization.
  • Drive continuous improvement through effective retrospectives, action tracking, and follow-through.
  • Maintain key delivery artifacts and team metrics.
  • Provide clear status reporting, delivery metrics, and updates as requested by the Province.
  • Support communications with product owners, business stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership.
  • Contribute to portfolio-level planning and coordination activities.
  • Support onboarding and knowledge transfer when resources move between initiatives or at the end of assignments.
  • Work collaboratively in a hybrid delivery environment that balances agile practices with necessary governance and documentation.

What you must have:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of recent experience serving as a Scrum Master on Agile delivery teams.

  • Demonstrated experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies and Agile planning activities.

  • Experience supporting multidisciplinary teams delivering digital products or services.

  • Experience identifying, managing, and helping resolve delivery risks, issues, impediments, and dependencies.

  • Experience coaching teams in Agile principles and practices.

  • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with modern collaboration and delivery tools.

Salary/Rate Range:

$90.00–$110.00
