Your Role:

We are currently seeking an Intermediate Project Manager for our Pickering, Ontario office. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Responsibilities:

  1. Work with a team of skilled engineers, designers, procurement and construction specialists, contractors, vendors and other project support staff/stakeholders.
  2. Manage nuclear related projects. Manage staff and subcontractors to ensure cost effective, safe and timely completion of projects to meet or exceed client expectations.
  3. Monitor, track and control project budget, schedule, and performance of projects.
  4. Identify ways to improve project outcomes.
  5. Provide leadership to the Project Team.
  6. Communicate project updates with client and other key stakeholders.
  7. Client delivery responsibility and establishing requirements as per procurement procedure.
  8. Assemble and lead meetings with project team members to communicate project scopes.

Qualifications:

  1. A university degree in Engineering, any discipline welcome.
  2. Other professional qualifications will be considered with relevant experience.
  3. 5+ years experience in project management experience that includes leading and managing large multidiscipline projects, or large single discipline projects.
  4. Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario (P.Eng) and/or PMP certification would be a strong asset.
  5. Strong client management skills required to address challenging client requirements and ensuring client satisfaction.
  6. Working experience in principles and practices of nuclear engineering as applied to design and construction of projects is preferred.
  7. Nuclear (OPG or Bruce Power) experience is considered an asset.
  8. Experienced in the use of MS Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  9. Demonstrated experience in developing project execution plans and budgets.
  10. Coaching, professional service management, communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  11. Must be eligible to obtain security clearance.

Additional Information:

A requirement of working for Tetra Tech is that you are at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada. (A copy of a valid work permit may be required.) If you are considered for the position, clearance on all applicable background checks (which may include criminal, identity, educational and security) and professional reference checks is required. Some Tetra Tech positions require an enhanced level of background assessment, which is dictated by law. These positions require advanced criminal record checks that must also be conducted from time to time after commencement of employment.
