Job summary

Bidell Gas Compression is seeking an Intermediate P&ID/Vessel Drafting and Design Professional to develop P&IDs and vessel drawings for gas compression packages. You will work with engineering and fabrication teams to ensure accuracy and conformance to project specs.

You will design P&ID, vessel and related drawings, report progress to the design supervisor, and help identify deviations in scope and estimates while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Design and draft P&ID and vessel drawings per project specs.
• Coordinate with design and engineering teams for interface consistency.
• Ability to design P&ID, vessels, and other design drawings.
• Report design status to the supervisor lead.
• Identify deviations, changes, and notices in scope and estimates.

BIDELL GAS COMPRESSION

For over 30 year’s Bidell Gas Compression has been a North American leader in rotating equipment, including gas compression, power generation and pumps.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Bidell’s Design Department has an immediate opening for an Intermediate P&AID/Vessel Drafting and Design Professional.

In this role, you’ll develop piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&AIDs) and detailed pressure vessel drawings for gas compression packages. Working closely with our engineering and fabrication teams, you’ll help ensure drawings are accurate, meet project specifications, and support efficient fabrication.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: (Including but are not limited to the following)

• Reviews project standards and specifications, design instructions.
• Communicates and interfaces with other project design and engineering teams.
• Can design, Vessel, P&AID and other design drawings.
• Reports to the design Supervisor lead about the status of the design activities
• Supports in identification of deviations in job scope, estimation of changes and notices.

EDUCATION:

• Engineering Design and Drafting Technology diploma from a recognized institute (SAIT, NAIT or equivalent) or Process Pipe Drafting Certificate.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3-5 year’s experience in Gas Compression.
• Excellent understanding of P&AIDs and Vessels.
• AutoCAD and 3D modeling CadWorx.
• Strong attention to detail, good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced TEAM environment.
• Hardworking and able to handle multiple tasks.
• OT may be required to meet deadlines.
