Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in water/wastewater and/or municipal infrastructure.
  • Eligibility for membership with EGBC as a professional engineer.
  • Site inspection experience in relevant projects is an asset.

As an Intermediate Municipal Engineer within our Infrastructure sector, you'll be part of a dynamic team working on diverse projects in the municipal, water, and wastewater markets throughout BC and across Canada. You will benefit from an exceptional mentorship network to help you grow professionally.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assistant project management duties with the opportunity to grow into a project manager role
  • Complete conceptual, preliminary and detailed design tasks for water and wastewater and/or municipal infrastructure projects
  • Complete technical calculations and hydraulic modelling on various platforms
  • Prepare technical specifications, reports, memoranda and permit approval applications
  • Participate in site inspections
  • Perform contract administration tasks
  • Liaise directly with clients, government, and regulatory authorities to address specific project needs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Licenced professional member or eligible for such a membership with EGBC
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in the water and wastewater and/or municipal infrastructure fields. More than 2 years of demonstrated relevant experience will be considered an asset.
  • Past experience working as a site inspector during construction for water and wastewater and/or municipal infrastructure projects will be considered and asset
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle

The expected salary for this position is from $95000 - $105000 and based on the richness and diversity of the candidate’s experience, training, skills and internal equity. The position or associated salary could vary depending on the profile of the candidate.
