Job summary

FinneyTaylor Consulting Group Ltd. in Edmonton, AB, seeks an experienced Estimator to join the fire protection team. You will prepare quotes for owners, contractors, and tenders, and support bid processes.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings/specifications, developing proposals, securing purchase orders, conducting site visits, and coordinating with consultants, engineers, and field crews. The ideal candidate holds a post-secondary diploma in fire protection or related field and has 5+

Qualifications

• Post secondary diploma in fire protection or related field.
• 5+ years design, installation, sales, or PM in fire protection.
• 5+ years of quoting for large sprinkler projects.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Team collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quotes for building owners, contractors, and tenders.
• Complete pre-qualification documents, review drawings/specifications, develop proposals, and secure purchase orders/contracts.
• Conduct site visits and liaise with consultants, engineers, general contractors, site supervisors, and other trades.
• Coordinate the preparation of drawings, material lists, safety plans, and field installation with site crews.
• Coordination of design, material, labour, subcontractors, and change orders.
• Effectively manage projects to successful and profitable completion.

Must Have Primary Skills :

• Post Secondary Diploma in Fire Protection, Engineering, or related field of study


• Minimum of 5 years experience in design, installation, sales, or project management in the fire protection industry


• Minimum of 5 years of experience quoting for large sprinkler construction projects


• Demonstrated organizational skills


• Ability to collaborate and work effectively within a team

Nice To Have Secondary Skills :

• Coordination of design, material, labour, subcontractors, and change orders


• Effectively manage projects to successful and profitable completion

Proven Experience In :
