Job summary

WSP in Canada is seeking an environmental consultant to work on landfill and aggregate site compliance, fieldwork, and reporting. You’ll join a team of engineers, geoscientists, and technicians delivering real regional impact.

The role requires 3–5 years of environmental consulting, a relevant degree, eligibility for P.Eng. or P.Geo., and a valid driver’s license for site work. You’ll analyze data and prepare clear technical deliverables, while prioritizing safety and client service.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of environmental consulting experience, including fieldwork.
• A degree in environmental, geological, civil engineering, geoscience, or a related discipline.
• Eligibility for P.Eng. or P.Geo.
• Experience with Ontario environmental regulations (preferred).
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• A valid Class 5 driver’s license and ability to use your own vehicle for site work.
• Willingness and ability to perform outdoor fieldwork.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and regulatory documents.
• Strong on‑the‑fly problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

• You’ll independently complete authorized field assignments and collaborate with technicians, contractors, and multidisciplinary team members.
• You’ll collect, document, and manage environmental field data following WSP standards and industry protocols.
• You’ll communicate with clients, labs, government partners, and service providers to keep project activities running smoothly.
• You’ll assist in producing technical reports — analyzing chemical, hydrogeological, and geotechnical data, and drafting clear, professional deliverables.
• You’ll champion safe work practices and ensure full implementation of corporate and client safety programs.

MB & ON -$63,600 – $87,500

NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC -$62,900 – $83,600
