Job summary

WSP in Winnipeg is seeking a Senior Professional in Environmental Engineering to lead complex contaminated sites projects, mentor teams, and deliver high-impact environmental solutions.

As part of the Earth & Environment practice, you will manage scope, budgets, schedules, and client communications, uphold health and safety standards, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to protect communities and ecosystems across Canada.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geoscience, Biology, or a related discipline.
  • Professional designation (P.Eng., P.Geo., RPBio., or equivalent) or eligibility to obtain registration.
  • 10+ years of environmental consulting experience with a focus on contaminated sites assessment and remediation.
  • Experience managing projects, including budgeting, scheduling, client communication, and resource planning.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, contaminated sites legislation, and industry best practices.
  • Proven ability to prepare technical reports, proposals, and client-facing deliverables.
  • Strong field experience with a demonstrated commitment to health and safety excellence.
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel as required.

  • Lead contaminated sites investigation, remediation, and environmental management projects from planning through completion.
  • Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, resources, and technical deliverables while ensuring quality outcomes.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with clients, regulators, and project stakeholders.
  • Prepare proposals, technical reports, and innovative environmental solutions that help clients achieve their objectives.
  • Mentor and support the development of junior and intermediate environmental professionals.
  • Champion a strong culture of health, safety, and environmental stewardship across all project activities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex environmental and sustainability challenges.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and contribute to the continued success of the Earth & Environment practice.

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $104,100 - $138,000
MB & ON: $95,000 - $130,800
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $94,100 - $124,900
