Job summary

A growing multi-discipline EPC engineering company in Calgary is seeking Intermediate Design Mechanical Engineers. The role involves designing renewable power generation systems and collaborating with various teams. Qualifications

  • Mechanical Engineering degree and registration with APEGA.
  • 3-5 years of experience in power projects.
  • Knowledge of AUC and EPEA applications is an asset.

Job description

NVS Engineering is a growing multi-discipline EPC engineering company seeking additional Intermediate Design Mechanical Engineers for our downtown Calgary location.

Current projects include the design of Natural Gas, Solar, and other renewable power generation systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Proficient in generating Power Flow Diagrams, P&ID’s, Data Sheets, and reviewing vendor drawings in accordance with industry standards.
  2. Collaborate with engineering, construction, development, and other project support teams.
  3. Design, perform calculations, and specify equipment for systems involving air compressors, heat exchangers, pumps, and cooling radiators.
  4. Work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Apply problem-solving and analytical skills to work within strict deadlines.
  6. Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software to perform engineering tasks.
  7. Coordinate with contractors and other engineering disciplines to ensure successful project design and commissioning.
Qualifications and Experience:
  1. Mechanical Engineering degree and registration with APEGA.
  2. Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in conventional and renewable power projects, including design, engineering, and construction phases.
  3. Knowledge of AUC and EPEA applications for power generation is an asset.
