Job summary

Dircam Electric Ltd, an established electrical contractor in Etobicoke, ON, seeks an experienced Estimator to prepare detailed bids for electrical construction projects. In this role you will use Accubid, Excel and Jonas to analyze drawings, coordinate with Project Managers, and deliver accurate cost estimates for tender submissions.

Five years of estimating experience and a valid Ontario driver's license are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed bids for electrical construction projects using Accubid, Excel and Jonas.
• Review customer drawings and requests to determine cost, assumptions and feasibility.
• Maintain relationships with customers to access tenders and generate repeat business.
• Support pricing negotiations with vendors and subcontractors.
• Organize documentation related to estimates and projects.
• Collaborate with project managers to validate estimates during delivery.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Create detailed and accurate bids for electrical construction projects using Accubid, Excel and Jonas
• Review and analyze materials from the customer (e.g. blueprints, special requests) to determine appropriate cost, assumptions and feasibility of project to include in estimate
• Maintain relationships with customers, ensuring access to tender requests and repeated business
• Support pricing negotiations with vendors and subcontractors
• Organize documentation related to estimates and projects
• Collaborate with Project Managers and site leadership to evaluate the accuracy of estimates during the delivery phase, to review and refine estimates for future

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• A minimum of five years of electrical estimating experience
• Technically proficient with Accubid and MS Office
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings
• Experience using Jonas is an significant asset
• Certificate of Qualification, College diploma or University degree in a related field is an asset
• Valid Ontario Driver's License, with own transportation an asset
