Job summary

Harbinger Network is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator for a top-tier electrical contractor in the West GTA region of Ontario. You will prepare cost estimates and bid documents and act as Lead Estimator on projects, coordinating with suppliers, clients and the Chief Estimator to deliver accurate estimates on time.

7–10+ years in electrical installations and at least 5 years in electrical estimating are required, with expert knowledge of Accubid and the ability to read complex drawings.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of experience in electrical installations.
• Minimum 5 years electrical estimating experience.
• Experience with industrial, commercial, and institutional projects.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency with Accubid and related estimating tools.
• Strong communication, organizational and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates and bid documents for electrical construction projects.
• Lead Estimator on projects and coordinate with suppliers, clients and the Chief Estimator.
• Ensure accurate, detailed estimates are delivered in a timely fashion.

Job description

A top tier electrical contractor is currently looking to add to their team! This group is located in the West GTA with exciting growth opportunities for the right professionals! With making strategic growth a priority in 2027, they are currently looking to add an intermediate and senior electrical estimator to their team!

The Senior Estimator is responsible for preparing cost estimates and bid documents for a variety of electrical construction projects. He / she is the Lead Estimator on projects and works with suppliers, clients, and the Chief Estimator to provide accurate detailed estimates in a timely fashion.

EXPERIENCE:

• 7-10+ years experience in Electrical Installations and a minimum 5 years Electrical Estimating experience.
• Knowledge of Industrial, commercial and Institutional electrical projects required.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Expertise working with the Accubid program
• Knowledge of working with Accubid Liveccount would be an added asset.
• Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.);
• Must be tactful, have a professional demeanor, and the ability to interact effectively with managers, employees, suppliers and contractors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, record-keeping and follow-up skills.
• Must be capable of managing multiple tasks under time constraints and working effectively as a team player in a professional office environment.
• Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance.
• Ability to estimate all types of projects and to coordinate and supervise group work effort essential.
• Must have ability to prepare complex proposals with minimum supervision.
• Ability to read and interpret blue prints and/or engineering design drawings.
