Intermediate Electrical Engineer – Traffic Signals

Join us at GHD as an Intermediate Electrical Engineer – Traffic Signals and contribute to innovative infrastructure projects. We are seeking a proactive professional to support design projects related to traffic signals, street lighting, and power distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design preparation for traffic signalization and street lighting systems
• Conduct site investigations and assessments
• Develop detailed specifications and quantity schedules
• Coordinate with clients, authorities, and design teams
• Guide and review work of junior staff and drafts
• Review and seal design drawings
• Assist in proposal and fee estimate preparation
• Manage project budgets and deadlines

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, registered with PEO
• 5-10 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of industry standards including Ontario Electrical Safety Code, AODA, Ontario Traffic Manual, IESNA RP-8, and TAC guidelines
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency with AGI32, MicroStation, and AutoCAD
• Valid G class driver’s license
