Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Calgary is looking for an Intermediate Electrical Instrumentation and Controls Drafter. This full-time role involves assisting with drafting and design tasks, and requires a two-year program in electrical design and strong proficiency in AutoCAD. Candidates should possess a minimum of 3 to 5 years of drafting experience and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities include creating electrical schematics, re-drafting drawings, and assisting project teams in the production of drawing packages.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical instrumentation and control design.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of drafting experience.
• EPC experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Amend mark-ups as necessary.
• Re-draft construction and demolition drawings accurately.
• Create electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Produce area classifications and layouts.
• Clean DWG files for client return.
• Assist in the production of design drawing packages.
• Participate in field trips for information gathering.
