Job summary

Englobe is seeking an experienced professional to design, program and commission industrial control and HMI systems across diverse projects in energy, environment and infrastructure. You will work with Honeywell, Emerson, ABB and other platforms, delivering robust control solutions and engineering deliverables.

The role involves client and vendor interface, site readiness, and mentoring of junior staff. A degree or diploma in a relevant field plus 5+ years of automation experience is expected,

Qualifications

• Design, programming and commissioning of industrial control systems and HMIs.
• Experience with major SIS/SCADA platforms is considered an asset.
• Familiarity with engineering deliverables such as P&IDs, control narratives and drawings.
• Software and hardware acceptance testing is expected.
• Strong client and vendor communication and interface skills.
• Experience with loop testing, commissioning and startup support is an asset.
• Mentoring of junior resources is part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Design, program and commission industrial control and HMI systems (DCS/PLC/SCADA/RTU).
• Collaborate with clients and vendors to ensure project success.
• Perform software and hardware acceptance testing and start-up support.
• Develop and document engineering deliverables including P&IDs and drawings.
• Mentor junior team members and support knowledge transfer.

Your main responsibilities

• Design, programming and commissioning of industrial control and HMI systems (DCS/PLC/SCADA/RTU).
• Experience with Honeywell Experion PKS, Emerson DeltaV, ABB, Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric industrial control systems would be considered an asset.
• Experience with Wonderware InTouch/System Platform, Ignition, Factory Talk View HMI/SCADA systems would be considered an asset.
• Understanding and development of engineering deliverables: P&IDs, Shutdown Keys, Control System Architectures, Control Narratives, Panel Drawings, I/O Drawings, etc.
• Software and hardware acceptance testing.
• Client and vendor communication and interface.
• Experience with loop testing, commissioning and start-up support would be considered an asset.
• Mentoring of Junior resources

• Engineering degree, Technologist diploma or Trades certificate - equivalent level of field experience may be considered
• 5+ years of automation/controls related experience
• Strong commitment and demonstrated safety performance
• Configuration experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness/ability to travel and prepared to do site work as required
• Clean driving record
• Electrical and/or Instrumentation experience an asset
