MPE is currently seeking a Intermediate Civil Technologist to join our team in our Grande Prairie office.

Your Contribution

As a Civil Technologist, Your main responsibilities will be:

• Perform general project duties including preparing cost estimates, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents, under the supervision of a Senior Engineer or Technologist
• Develop, prepare, and review civil engineering design drawings, coordinating with the engineering Design Team
• Conduct site inspections and materials testing as required
• Manage construction contracts and liaise with clients and contractors
• Coordinate designs and construction inspections with multiple disciplines
• Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety rules

Typical Projects:

• Replacement and upgrade of underground water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure
• Development of water treatment and pumping facilities
• Wastewater collection, pumping, and treatment facilities
• Infrastructure assessments and studies
• Road Rehabilitation

Your Profile

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited institution
• Member or eligibility for membership in ASET
• 3-5 years of municipal civil engineering experience, including but not limited to:Water Distribution Systems, Wastewater Collection Systems, Stormwater Management Systems, Site Grading, Transportation
• Demonstrated knowledge of general construction methods
• Strong presentation, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented
• Proficiency with Civil3D software
