Associated Engineering in Winnipeg is seeking an experienced Intermediate Civil Engineering Technologist to join our team. You will design and draft municipal infrastructure projects for private and public clients, and perform field inspections on active construction sites in rural Manitoba.

You’ll lead drafting using Civil 3D and other CAD tools, ensure quality, and collaborate with a skilled team. Travel to project sites within MB is required, and you’ll have opportunities for professional

Qualifications

• Diploma in Municipal Engineering Technology recognized by CTTAM.
• Registration with CTTAM or ability to obtain.
• 7–10 years minimum experience in design and drafting of civil infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability in AutoDesk Civil 3D and other CAD software.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Committed team player with time management skills.
• Experience working in the field on construction sites.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license and access to a vehicle.
• Willingness to travel within MB.

Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for the design and drafting of civil infrastructure projects for both private and public sector clients. Field work will include inspection services on active construction sites in rural Manitoba, monitoring for project quality and the contractor’s adherence to codes, standards and specifications.

What You’ll Do

In this position, you will participate in and lead the design and drafting of civil infrastructure projects for both private and public sector clients. Our diverse range of projects includes municipal infrastructure such as water distribution systems, wastewater and stormwater collection systems, site grading and earthworks modeling, drainage improvements, storm ponds, roadways and parking lots, and infrastructure renewal and replacements. You may also complete site visits for topographic and quantity surveying, construction reviews and other field work as required. You will provide support to other members of our team while working on a variety of projects in a collaborative team environment.

Does this sound like you?

• Diploma in Municipal Engineering Technology, or similar program recognized by CTTAM
• Have or will immediately obtain and maintain registration with CTTAM
• 7‑10 years minimum experience in the design and drafting of civil infrastructure projects, gained in an engineering workplace setting (Preference may be given to candidates at the intermediate level, with approx. 10+ years experience)
• Proven ability in the use of AutoDesk Civil 3D, as well as other CADD‑based civil design software
• Strong attention to detail
