Job summary

TRUE Consulting in Kamloops, BC, is seeking an Intermediate Civil Engineering Technologist to join our municipal infrastructure team. You will design infrastructure using AutoCAD Civil 3D for municipal, First Nation, and private sector projects in the BC Interior.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Professional Engineers, EITs, and technologists, site visits, and delivering precise surveys and drawings. A Civil Engineering Technology diploma and AutoCAD Civil 3D expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years’ experience in a civil engineering technology role, preferably in municipal infrastructure design.
• Graduate of a Civil Engineering Technology program.
• Registered or eligible to register with ASTTBC as an Applied Science Technologist.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D grading, pipe networks, and corridors.
• Proficiency in creating and reading civil infrastructure drawings.
• Experience with MMCD is an asset.
• Experience with field inspections is an asset.
• Experience in GIS/ESRI software is an asset.
• Strong written English and verbal communication skills.
• An outgoing, positive personality with client-driven perspective.
• Excellent organization and planning skills.
• Commitment, energy and a strong work ethic.
• Class 5 Drivers License and personal vehicle are required.

About the Role

TRUEis currently seeking an Intermediate Civil Engineering Technologist to join our Kamloops office. This individual’s primary role will involve design using AutoCAD Civil 3D on a variety of municipal infrastructure and land development projects for our municipal, First Nation, and private sector clients in the BC Interior.

• Design of infrastructure using AutoCAD Civil 3D including creation of earthworks, site grading plans, road design, and water/sewer/storm infrastructure plan & profiles

What We’re Looking For

Salary

The annual salary range for this position is $85,000 – $100,000 depending on experience.
