• Position: INTERMEDIATE CIVIL 3D / DRAFTING TECHNOLOGIST

Description:

MPE is seeking the services of a detail oriented individual for an intermediate civil 3D drafting technologist to join our water resources team in Lethbridge Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing technical drawings, calculating earthworks quantities, developing design surfaces, processing surveys, and developing Civil templates using Autodesk Civil 3D and other Autodesk software.

Projects that the candidate may work on include earthen embankment dams, concrete water control structures and spillways, canals, pump stations, and other water control infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings using Autodesk Civil 3D,
• Generate and modify surfaces, alignments, corridors, pipe networks, and grading plans,
• Collaborate with engineers, technologists, and project managers to implement design solutions,
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable codes and standards.
  
  

The Successful Candidate Should Have The Following Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related discipline,
• 2 years direct experience with AutoCAD & Civil 3D,
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs,
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills,
• Valid drivers license,
• Possess excellent verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  
  

Additional Assets May Include

• Experience with GIS, Infraworks, Inventor, or Revit,
• CET designation or eligibility for registration with ASET.
