Job summary

Uptime Industrial Inc. is seeking an Intermediate Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting activities and support month-end and year-end financial reporting.

This hands-on role covers journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis while collaborating with the Controller and other departments to ensure accurate reporting and job costing. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with ADP/WFM, Dayforce, QuickBooks

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• CPA designation or working towards designation is considered an asset.
• 3+ years of progressive full-cycle accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of month-end close, journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Experience with project accounting, job costing, or WIP reporting is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle accounting and support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepaids, adjustments, and other month-end entries.
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure timely resolution.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Support the Controller with financial reporting, analysis, reconciliations, and accounting projects.
• Review financial transactions and identify discrepancies, unusual variances, and opportunities for improvement.
