Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Intermediate Accountant to join our team. This role will primarily focus on Accounts Receivable but will also involve general accounting duties, including Accounts Payable (AP), month-end processes, and ad-hoc project support. Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Receivable:
• Manage and track outstanding customer invoices and payments.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and collections.
• Monitor and manage aged receivables and ensure cash flow is optimized.
• General Accounting:
• Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) processes, including invoice entry, vendor payments, and account reconciliation.
• Support month-end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Assist with general ledger activities and financial reporting.
• Provide support on various accounting projects as needed, including software migration and system updates.
• Ad-Hoc Projects/Requests:
• Provide assistance with month-end software migration projects, data entry, and system integration tasks.
• Assist with any other ad-hoc tasks or requests from management, as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience:
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience in accounting, with a focus on accounts receivable or general accounting functions.
• Prior experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is preferred.
• Education:
• Secondary education with a Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Technical Skills:
• Working knowledge of MS Excel; experience with accounting software is an asset.
• Familiarity with accounting principles and practices, including month-end processes and financial reporting.
• Personal Attributes:
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn and grow within the role.
