Job summary

RHN CPA in Kelowna, BC is seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join our public practice team and own client files across tax, compilation, review and audit engagements.

With 2–3 years of relevant experience, you will use CaseWare/CaseView, Taxprep and Microsoft Office, develop your technical skills, and participate in professional development while enjoying flexible schedules, CPA tuition reimbursement and a supportive, collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of relevant public practice accounting experience.
  • Experience with Compilation & Assurance engagements.
  • Experience with CaseWare/CaseView, Taxprep and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A commitment to providing excellent client service.
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • A desire to continue learning and taking on greater responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing T1 & T2 tax returns and completing compilation, review & audit engagements.
  • Working on engagements from planning through completion, with support and mentorship from senior team members.
  • Building strong working relationships with clients and providing responsive professional service.
  • Participating in professional development sessions and sharing your knowledge with other team members.
  • Contributing to internal initiatives focused on improving processes, technology, and the way we work.
  • Taking on increasing responsibility and leadership opportunities as you progress in your career.

Your Role

As an Intermediate Accountant, you will work on a diverse portfolio of client files, across tax, compilation, review, and audit engagements.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Preparing T1 & T2 tax returns and completing complaition, review & audit engagements.
  • Working on engagements from planning through completion, with support and mentorship from senior team members.
  • Building strong working relationships with clients and providing responsive professional service.
  • Participating in professional development sessions and sharing your knowledge with other team members.
  • Contributing to internal initiatives focused on improving processes, technology, and the way we work
  • Taking on increasing responsibility and leadership opportunities as you progress in your career
