Aviva Canada is seeking a Healthcare Service Advisor to join our Healthcare Services team in Oakville. You will interpret insurance contracts, resolve policy coverages, and manage Accident Benefits claims with professional oversight.

Individually these are just words, but together they are our Values - Care, Commitment, Community, and Confidence.**The Opportunity**We're looking for Healthcare Service Advisors to join our Healthcare Services team to ensure timely and equitable resolution of sophisticated Accident Benefit claims.**What you'll do*** Interpret insurance contracts, resolve policy coverages, establish and adjust reserves in accordance with corporate guidelines* To appropriately handle Accident Benefits claims according to individual authority, knowledge and expertise* Acquire investigative reports, independent medical examination where appropriate, statements from insured's/witnesses and other specialists as required* Educate customers and providers of any new auto reform changes* Ensure all aspects of the claim process are handled optimally and within company guidelines* Assist in resolving claims issues with respect to interpretations, as they relate to the legislation and settlement negotiations* Ensure service levels and quality standards are met by approved specialists* Educate our insureds about Premiere Healthcare network* Attend and actively participate in training and file clinic sessions**What you'll bring*** College Diploma/ Associate Degree or similar experience* 2+ years of Accident Benefits insurance claims handling experience is required required* Large Loss experience is preferred* Post-secondary Education (College Diploma or Bachelor Degree) in related field.* CIP or working towards CIP is required for licensing* Excellent customer services skills* Excellent communication skills* Ability to learn and adapt to a fast paced environment* Good organization skills* Ability to adapt and work within various computer programs, databases and software**What you'll get*** The salary band for this position ranges from $60,000 - $75,000.
