Job summary

Easy Renovation in Toronto is seeking a motivated Interior Designer Intern to join our growing design and renovation team. This full-time on-site role offers opportunities to work on residential renovation projects across the GTA, contributing to interior design development, technical drawings, cabinetry design, material selections, visual presentations, and project coordination.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in residential interior design and space planning.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing functional and aesthetically strong residential interior designs based on client and project requirements.
• Prepare and revise floor plans, layouts, technical drawings, and design presentations.
• Create 3D models, renderings, and other design visuals.
• Support the design and documentation of kitchens, bathrooms, cabinetry, and millwork.
• Research and select materials, finishes, fixtures, cabinetry, and other interior elements.
• Participate in client consultations and site visits with the design team.

This is a full-time opportunity to work on residential renovation projects across the GTA, contributing to interior design development, technical drawings, cabinetry design, material selection, visual presentations, and project coordination. Role Overview

As an Interior Designer Intern, you will work closely with our design and renovation team throughout different stages of residential projects. The role involves supporting the development of functional residential interiors, floor plans, cabinetry and millwork solutions, 3D models and renderings, material selections, and project documentation, while collaborating with designers, project managers, contractors, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing functional and aesthetically strong residential interior designs based on client and project requirements.
• Prepare and revise floor plans, layouts, technical drawings, and design presentations.
• Create 3D models, renderings, and other design visuals.
• Support the design and documentation of kitchens, bathrooms, cabinetry, and custom millwork.
• Research and select materials, finishes, fixtures, cabinetry, and other interior elements.
• Participate in client consultations and site visits with the design team.
• Assist with site measurements and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Prepare design proposals and presentation materials.
• Coordinate with designers, project managers, contractors, and suppliers throughout the renovation process.

Requirements

• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar.
• Familiarity with Chief Architect is an advantage.
• Good understanding of residential interior design, space planning, cabinetry, materials, and finishes.
• Ability to produce clear drawings, layouts, and design presentations.
• Strong visual sense and attention to detail.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Strong organization and time management.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and revisions simultaneously.
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-moving renovation environment.

Availability to work in our hybrid model: 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely.
