Job summary

Sephora Canada is seeking an Interim Store Director to lead client experience, people development, sales, operations and HR at the Brantford location. You will manage staffing, budgeting, merchandising strategies and store profitability while upholding Sephora’s standards and culture.

You must have 5+ years of senior management experience in beauty/retail, with a proven coaching record and strong communication skills.

• Proven track record coaching a high-performing team and developing talent.
• Experience recruiting, staffing, and hiring across store positions, including leadership.
• Strong problem-solving skills and written/verbal communication.
• Experience with Windows, Word and Excel.

• Strong business acumen and ability to analyze sales trends and drive targets.

Responsibilities

As the next InterimStore Director at Sephora, you will oversee and manage the overall client service experience, people development, sales, productivity, merchandising, operations, and human resource functions of your store. Our Store directors ensure adherence to the Sephora concepts and culture, ensuring maximum profitability and compliance with Sephora’sobjectivesand policies. Reporting to the DistrictManagerthe Store Director’steamcan include our Talent & Business Operations Managers, Client Experience Managers, and Beauty Services Managers.Our interim roles are fixed contract positions, that have a definitive end date. Whatyou’llbe doing as anInterimStore Director at Sephora –

Store Budget & Business Results.

Forecast sales and payroll with your District Manager to drive store results.

Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales results and communicate with staff members.

Achieve store’s sales plans and operating profits whilemaintainingexpenses. While managing and measuring the effectiveness of business strategies, adjusting when needed.

Develop strategies to growbusiness,leveragingthe customer loyalty program, events, product knowledge, and services.

Human Resources.

Maintainoptimumstore staffing levels to deliver an exceptional client experience while adhering to budgetary goals.

Recruit, interview, and hire for all positions according to business needs.

Train, coach, delegate to supervise, and motivate department Managers and Leads to develop their leadership and business skills.

Ensure a coaching culture is present that includestimelyacknowledgement of successes, and feedback on opportunities. Both through day-to-day coaching and through quarterly development meetings.

Merchandising and Operations.

Conduct inventories,maintainupdated inventory records, and communicate inventory issues/concerns to key stakeholders.

Make strategic and innovative merchandising decisions by Sephora’sconceptswhen necessary, to grow the business.

You havea minimum of5+ years of senior management experience in the beauty, retail, or customer service industry.

You have a proventrack recordof coaching a high-performing team and have a passion for training, development, and education.

You havepreviousexperience recruiting, staffing, and hiring across all store positions, including leadership.

You are effective in time management, problem-solving, and communication both verbal and written. With experience in Windows, Word, and Excel.

You have no difficultymaintainingcomposure and possess strong managerial courage to have tough conversations when needed.

You have strong business acumen and the ability to analyze sales trends and react appropriately, with a proventrack recordof meeting or achieving targets or KPIs.

Location, Availability, and Physical Requirements-

On-site: You willwork at the location specified in the job posting.

Scheduling: Flexibility is key! We need you to be available during evenings, weekends, and holidays when our clients are eager to shop and explore.

Physical Requirements:Our stores are a fragrance-filled environment. You must be ableto bend and stretch to stock shelves, as well as lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

The compensation ranges betweenCAD$82,200.00 - CAD$102,700.00. In addition, you may be eligible for performance-based bonus opportunities, a competitive benefits program, and robust learning and development initiatives aimed at promoting employee support and recognition. The final pay offered will depend on various factors, including but not limited to the actual qualifications and experience of the individual, and any additional non-discriminatory, legitimate business factors relevant to the position and/or location.
