Qualifikationen

• Post-secondary education in a health-related field or equivalent.
• Minimum 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Experience in a First Nation environment preferred.
• Understanding of First Nations services and community-based approaches.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 apps (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
• Ability to manage confidential information professionally.
• Knowledge of Nlaka’pamux culture is an asset.

Aufgaben

• Lead the recruitment, onboarding, supervision, and professional development of Health Department staff.
• Foster a positive and collaborative workplace through coaching, mentorship, and performance management.
• Plan, implement, evaluate, and continuously improve community health programs and services.
• Conduct community health assessments and develop Community Health Plans reflecting priorities.
• Build and maintain relationships with community members, healthcare providers, funders, government partners, and stakeholders.
• Advocate for community health priorities and improved access to services.
• Coordinate service delivery with healthcare and community partners.
• Prepare reports and presentations for Chief and Council, committees, funders, and community members.
• Support health promotion, community engagement, and communication initiatives.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
