First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) seeks a Director, Wholistic Wellness for the Northern Region to lead programs, shape regional strategy, and partner with communities to advance culturally safe, wholistic health and healing across Northern BC. Travel across the Northern Region is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a social service field is required.
• Master’s degree in Public health, Social Work, or closely related field is required.
• 10+ years in mental wellness program planning and service delivery.
• 10+ years of experience in the health care system.
• Leadership and collaboration with senior management on initiatives.
• Experience with First Nations communities or organizations in mental wellness.

Responsibilities

• Lead programs and influence regional strategy for wholistic wellness.
• Partner with communities to advance culturally safe, holistic health and healing approaches.
• Provide leadership, coaching and support to teams and staff; collaborate with senior management.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a social service field

Master’s degree in Public health or Social Work

Significant, recent and relevant experience in mental wellness program planning and service delivery

Experience working within the health care system

Leadership to and partnering with senior management on projects

Experience with First Nations communities or organizations in mental wellness
