Job summary

Associated Ambulance is seeking an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) for a Permanent Full-Time role with our Interfacility Transfer team in Red Deer, Alberta.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the EMR will provide safe patient care during non-emergent interfacility transports, complete documentation, maintain vehicle readiness, and collaborate with physicians, nurses and other health professionals.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Emergency Medical Responder program.
• Active EMR registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics (ACoP).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
• Valid Alberta Class 4 Operator’s License.

Responsibilities

• Providing patient care and safe transportation within the EMR scope of practice.
• Completing and submitting required documentation, including patient care reports.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles, equipment, and ambulance bays.
• Ensuring transport units are fully stocked and operational.
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, emergency medical personnel, and other healthcare professionals to support high-quality patient care.
