Job summary

Catholic Social Services in Edmonton is seeking a contract, full-time Intercultural Facilitator to support community programs and promote intercultural dialogue. The role requires 40 hours per week and runs through March 31, 2027.

The successful candidate will design and deliver trainings, develop materials, monitor newcomer trends, and coordinate group activities across offices and community sites. A Human Services credential and relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Human Services or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience as Training Facilitator/Coordinator or similar role.
• Experience working with newcomers and vulnerable populations; ethno-cultural communities and faith groups.
• Experience working on social justice projects.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Security checks required (CRC, VSC, IRC).

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, facilitate, and evaluate trainings for intercultural dialogue and competences.
• Monitor newcomer trends to develop programming and services.
• Facilitate group sessions for clients and coordinate gender-based programming.
• Deliver trainings in office and community settings.
• Develop and maintain training curricula and materials.
• Promote intercultural learning through outreach and events.
• Maintain records and statistics on participation and outcomes.
• Travel to different offices and sites for meetings and trainings.
