Job summary

Catholic Social Services in Red Deer is seeking a dedicated Family Enrichment Worker to join our Family Intervention team. This full-time role focuses on supporting children and families, teaching parenting and communication skills, and transporting children to visitations.

You will document clearly and work both independently and as part of a service team. Ideal candidates hold a Diploma/Degree in Human Services and have experience with children and families, especially those with developmental

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Human Services (or equivalent).
• Minimum 6 months’ experience working with children and families.
• Experience with children with developmental disabilities is an asset.
• In-home family support experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of addictions and mental health issues is an asset.
• Valid First Aid/CPR is an asset.
• Vulnerable Sector Check from RCMP or city police.
• Child Intervention Record Check.
• Clear and current Drivers Abstract.
• Vehicle and Class 5 driver's license to transport clients.
• Proof of Vehicle Insurance showing $2 million liability coverage.
• Proof of Vehicle Registration for insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality supports to children and families as a mentor.
• Teach parenting and communication skills and support family visitations.
• Transport children to family visitations as needed.
• Maintain organized, concise files and notes for documentation.
