Intent of the process This process will initially be used to staff two positions on an indeterminate basis. A qualified pool of candidates will be established and used to staff these positions and similar positions with various tenures (i.e. indeterminate, term, deployment, acting, assignment and secondment).Should a CM be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to another category for the member.

Canadian Citizenship is a mandatory requirement for all positions requiring the security level of Top Secret or Enhanced RCMP Top Secret.

Conditions of employment

• Royal Canadian Mounted Police Enhanced Reliability Status with Top Secret Security Clearance. NOTE: Successful candidates will require a valid RCMP security clearance prior to appointment and throughout the tenure of their employment. The process to obtain RCMP security clearance involves a security/reliability interview and a field investigation regarding matters of criminal activity which includes reference checks, verification of credit/financial status, education, employment, etc. As such, the process may take several weeks or months to complete.
• Ability and willingness to meet and maintain the medical profile standards established for the position.
• Ability and willingness to be exposed to violent and/or traumatic events, abusive language, and disturbing and graphic material when conducting intercept monitoring activities.
• Ability and willingness to work shift work (24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year).
• Ability and willingness to travel across Canada.
• Ability and willingness to testify in a court of law.
• Must work overtime on short notice from time to time.
• Must be on call during evenings, weekends and on public holidays from time to time.
• Must carry and monitor a mobile communications device outside of work hours when required.

Operational Requirements
