Job summary

Reach Out Centre for Kids (ROCK) is seeking an Intensive Counsellor to deliver high-quality mental health support to children, youth, and families across homes, schools, and communities. The role emphasizes individualized care planning, family involvement, and coordinated care with caregivers and partners.

You will work within a collaborative team in a hybrid model, utilizing crisis intervention, evidence-informed approaches, and culturally responsive strategies to promote wellbeing and lasting

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized Honours university program (Bachelor of Social Work preferred) or equivalent education in related field.
• Experience in the field of children’s mental health.
• Knowledge of crisis theory and evidence-informed practice.
• Asset: experience with group treatment or facilitating parent events; EFFT, DBT, and/or crisis training (ASIST).

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality intensive mental health support to children, youth, and families in homes, schools, and communities.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans addressing complex needs.
• Deliver individual and family counselling, parent coaching, and behaviour management strategies.
• Collaborate with caregivers and interdisciplinary teams to promote positive family relationships.
