With innovation and customer service at our core, we are expanding our team to include a dynamic, data-driven and customer-focused Integrated Sales Specialist who will drive growth and efficiency. This role drives revenue by developing, executing, and managing strategic sales initiatives that integrate across multiple platforms, including digital, traditional and experiential channels. This position is responsible for managing accounts and new business for BBE’s domestic freight forwarding services, as well as its self-managed digital platform, project management related to logistics, and inbound sales leads. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and pursue new clients needing domestic freight forwarding services (FTL, LTL, intermodal, expedited, etc.).
  • Develop a sales pipeline through cold calling, networking, referrals, and online channels.
  • Understand customer shipping needs and tailor freight solutions accordingly.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for existing customers, ensuring their satisfaction and fostering repeat business.
  • Provide ongoing consultation to optimize clients' freight strategies, including route efficiency and cost savings.
  • Address service issues, delivery delays, or claims with professionalism and urgency.
  • Prepare and present freight quotes based on shipment type, distance, volume, and service level.
  • Negotiate rates with clients and, internally, with carriers or operations teams to ensure margin targets are met.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market rates and trends.
  • Work closely with the freight forwarding and logistics teams to ensure successful pickup, transit and delivery.
  • Communicate customer requirements clearly to operations and ensure execution aligns with SLAs.
  • Support issue resolution in real-time (delays, re-routing, missed pickups).
  • Stay informed about domestic freight regulations and ensure compliance with safety guidelines.
  • Track sales metrics, client volumes, and revenue growth.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on performance, pipeline health, and market feedback.
  • Analyze trends to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Stay informed about capacity issues, fuel surcharges, and service disruptions that may affect client shipments.

Digital Platform

  • Analyze user engagement and funnel metrics to optimize conversation.
  • Collaborate across teams to improve platform features that drive sales.
  • Implement upsell and cross-sell strategies within the self-serve experience (e.g., in-app prompts, pricing page updates).
  • Work with customer support teams to escalate technical or onboarding issues.
  • Track KPIs like user sign-ups, activation rates, conversion rates, revenue per user, churn and usage trends.
  • Present insights and recommendations to leadership on improving platform performance and sales.
  • Ensure product listings, pricing, and promotional content on the platform are up to date.
  • Partner with the marketing team to align digital campaigns with platform goals.

Project Management

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, particularly those involving complex or custom projects.
  • Build strong relationships with clients to understand their business needs and propose tailored solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals while setting clear expectations about project scope and delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop accurate project scopes and proposals that meet specific requirements.
  • Estimate costs, timelines and resources needed for project delivery.
  • Present solutions to clients and adjust proposals based on feedback.
  • Communicate client goals, budgets, and expectations clearly to internal stakeholders.
  • Remain involved post-sale to oversee alignment between client expectations and project execution.
  • Track sales revenue related to project work and forecast future pipeline.
  • Identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities based on ongoing projects.
  • Report on sales KPIs and project-related financials (margins, profitability).
  • Help resolve bottlenecks by coordinating internal resources or client inputs.

General

  • Support the development of opportunities, professional growth, mentoring, and coaching for the team.
  • Regularly participate in individual performance management and personal growth opportunities.
  • Contribute to BBE’s sales planning and marketing plans:
  • Development of strategies and tactics to pursue new market spaces.
  • Measurement of inputs and outcomes
  • Improvement of strategy and activity to continuously improve success rates
  • Lead account management and commercial teams with assigned clients and support other team members with account management as required:
  • Quarterly or periodic business reviews
  • New projects kick off
  • Contract renewal implementations
  • Market BBE’s new features or lines of business as and when they launch

WORK ENVIRONMENT & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • This role is primarily office-based but requires up to 25% domestic travel to customer locations, trade shows, and distribution centers.

CORPORATE COMPLIANCE DUTIES

  • Actively participate in QHSETR programs and systems.
  • Contribute to and foster transparent, direct communication, education, and customer service enhancement with the operations team and clients.
  • Ensure that file details and supporting documentation facilitate efficient handovers to Operations and Accounting.
  • Contribute to BBE’s continuous improvement and organizational efficiency goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in integrated or multi-channel sales environments.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong organizational, negotiating and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, digital sales, and northern Canada.
  • Understanding digital marketing channels, data-driven sales tactics, and client engagement strategies.
  • Comfortable with cross-functional collaboration and project management
