Job summary

Sheridan College’s Integrated Planning team is seeking a Planning Specialist to provide analytics, project support, and data-driven recommendations that advance college-wide planning and budgeting.

You will liaise with academic and administrative areas, develop dashboards, interpret trends, and present options to leadership. This hybrid role is Trafalgar campus with on-site work at least 3 days/week, and is a temporary assignment through December 1, 2027.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 4-year bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
• Proven project leadership with cross-functional initiatives.
• Knowledge of higher education planning processes.
• Analytics and business analytics including the ability to research, interpret data, identify relevant trends and recommend actions; ability to determine the information/data that will enhance decision-making and extract it from various sources.
• Experience working with and supporting the development of dashboards and metrics.
• Effective communication skills to explain complex statistical analysis to different audiences, including decision makers, and probe for information to establish needs and respond to requests.
• Influencing skills – able to find solutions to meet divergent (and often competing) needs of various stakeholders; ability to diplomatically and effectively challenge status quo with leadership.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the key technical and administrative resource (analytics, communications, change leadership for technology platform, project execution) on the Integrated Planning team.
• Liaising with all academic and administrative areas, supporting departments and leadership to ensure alignment across functional areas in the execution of the planning process.
• Providing research and analyses and coordination support for the development/execution of other high priority Sheridan projects; researching best practices for integrated planning; developing options and proposals on planning processes, stakeholder engagement, communication planning, and change management.
• Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and priorities.
• Performing other duties/activities as required.
