Integrated Marketing Manager (14-Month Maternity Leave Contract)

As our Integrated Marketing Manager, you will play a crucial role in bringing our brand story to life across all marketing channels, growing our mission to Kick Sugar, Keep Candy!

This role reports to the Sr. Director, Marketing and will be hybrid in Vancouver, BC. To support business priorities, core hours of attendance will be required from 9 am PST to 3 pm PST on in-office days. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

We anticipate this role will begin on June 2, 2025, and continue through to July 31, 2026.

How You Will Grow Our Mission:

  • Own and lead the sampling program: including annual planning, sampling program execution, and performance analysis to drive trial and awareness among new and lapsed friends.
  • Sampling Forecast + Budget Ownership: Oversee forecasting, tracking actuals, and managing the sampling budget, including campaign kits, in partnership with the Marketing Director.
  • Campaign Strategy & Execution: Lead the ideation,development, and execution of multi-channel campaigns in partnership with marketing owners of each function (email, social, web, campaign kits, influencer, paid ads, sampling) for seasonal launches, new products, and product improvements. Ensuring alignment of objectives and KPIs across MKTG functions.
  • Campaign Performance: Evaluate processes and KPIs, leading post-campaign ‘meltdowns’ to optimize future strategies across all areas of marketing.
  • Creative Development & Photoshoot Direction: Partner with the Design Manager on campaign concepting and photoshoot direction to ensure cohesive, on-brand visuals that strengthen SmartSweets’ brand presence. Ensure campaign concepts are in line with visuals for an overall impactful campaign.
  • Copywriting: Lead external (consumer) brand copy across all channels, crafting messages for campaigns, website, sales materials, retailer needs, email, etc.
  • Campaign Kit Logistics: Collaborate cross-functionally with the Supply Chain team to coordinate influencer kits and other marketing materials as needed. Manage external relationships with vendors sourcing materials for kits.
  • Oversee Brand Partnerships: Manage and cultivate strategic brand partnerships in collaboration with the Community Team, aligning initiatives to enhance brand visibility, drive growth, and support SmartSweets’ long-term marketing objectives.
  • Marketing Excellence and Brand Passion: Drive creative vision to elevate the brand's standing in the CPG industry. Bring innovative, consumer-centric ideas to position us as an industry trailblazer within a small, dynamic team.

What You Bring:

  • 4+ years experience in leading integrated multi-channel campaign management.
  • Strong aptitude for written communication and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong pulse on marketing trends and best practices.
  • You get a thrill out of being both creative and strategic.
  • Google Sheets/Excel knowledge an asset.
  • A deep desire to dream big and position SmartSweets as a trailblazer.
  • Self-starter that can manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Experience in CPG is an asset, but not required.

Compensation and Sweet Perks:

The approximate base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000. The actual base salary will be based on various factors, including the candidate’s level of skills, experience and education aligned with the needs of the role, budget and market. This position is eligible for participation in a bonus program.
