Job summary

The City of Kamloops is seeking a permanent, full-time Integrated Asset Services Supervisor to lead the collection, maintenance and management of municipal asset information. You will ensure data accuracy and support decision-making across departments and capital planning.

The ideal candidate has a university degree and leadership experience, with strong organizational and communication skills, plus asset management or GIS/ERP experience.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management or a related field.
• Minimum three (3) years of leadership experience.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in asset management program development and delivery, GIS application or ERP software.
• Demonstrated organizational, oral and written communication skills.
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence.

Position Overview

The permanent, full-time Integrated Asset Services Supervisor provides leadership and oversight for the collection, maintenance, quality, and management of municipal asset information. This position ensures that asset data is accurate, complete, current, and accessible to support effective decision-making, maintenance planning, capital planning, budgeting, and long-term asset management.

Working across municipal departments and divisions, the Supervisor coordinates processes for maintaining asset inventories, updating records, managing data standards, and ensuring information is consistently captured within corporate asset management and GIS systems. The role provides guidance on data requirements and works collaboratively to identify gaps, improve data quality, and streamline information management processes.

The successful candidate will bring strong organizational and leadership skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to safety, service excellence, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include supervising staff and contractors, monitoring service delivery and asset performance, coordinating work orders and preventative maintenance, maintaining accurate records, and identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and asset reliability.

The annual salary for this position is with a pay grade system starting at $115,178.70ranging to $124,776.60. The City offers a comprehensive benefit package including generous vacation and an Earned Days Off program. Along with these benefits, the City provides access to fitness facilities, various instructed programs, and community volunteer/engagement opportunities. This is an exempt Management position.
