Job summary

Rural Roads Health Services in Ontario seeks a Support Analyst to provide first-line IT support across Alexandra Hospital Ingersoll and Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, ensuring smooth operation of clinical and non-clinical systems.

You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage AD accounts, install equipment, and work with the IT team to maintain security and privacy in a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary 2-year diploma in a computer-related discipline with emphasis on hardware/software diagnosis and resolution.
• Experience with DNS, DHCP, AD, Exchange, hardware, VMware and Windows environments; health-care experience valued.
• Experience with PC/laptop hardware repairs or upgrades; network/telecom troubleshooting an asset.

Responsibilities

Rural Roads Health Services (RRHS) is actively seeking applicants for a Support Analyst.

This position is based across Rural Roads Health Services and requires travel between Alexandra Hospital Ingersoll and Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately record, update and resolve requests using the IT service desk system.
• Install and configure computer and telecommunications equipment, network cabling and peripherals; perform preventative hardware maintenance and implement software updates and upgrades in coordination with vendors as required.
• Resolve incidents with PCs, printers, scanners, copiers, networking and phones, and provide first-line support for clinical and other user applications.
• Create and administer Active Directory user and computer accounts.
• Provide timely service over the phone, by email and in person, including user education, assistance and guidance on computer-related concerns.
• Work closely with other members of the Information Technology team to ensure workflow, back-end processes and operating systems function optimally, and assist with IT procedures, hospital projects and task teams as required.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality, protect network security and ensure adherence to system and network usage and security policies.

Qualifications Required

• Post-secondary 2-year diploma in a computer-related discipline with an emphasis on the diagnosis and resolution of hardware and software issues or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience as deemed acceptable by the Hospitals. Experience within a health care environment considered an asset.
• Experience with DNS, DHCP, Wired and Wireless technologies, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Hardware (PC, printer, switches, mobile devices), VMware Virtualization and Microsoft Windows Environments.
• Experience with PC/Laptop hardware repairs or upgrades preferred.
• Experience with network and telecommunications troubleshooting preferred.
• Experience with domains preferred.
• Proven ability to demonstrate practical troubleshooting and problem analysis techniques using excellent analytical and decision making skills.
• Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people in a professional manner, face to face, on the telephone and in writing/email.
• Strong team player with the willingness and ability to take initiative and contribute positively to the team.

Other pertinent conditions

Must be available to work On Call/Call in Rotation.

Must be available to work all shifts as required, which may include; weekends, statutory holidays, days, evenings and night shifts. Hours are subject to change based on operation needs of the hospital.

• Salary per the Non-Union Salary Grid ($27.51 per hour to $32.14 per hour)
