Job summary

Rural Roads Health Services (RRHS) is actively seeking a Registered Nurse for the Combined Unit at Alexandra Hospital Ingersoll. The temporary contract runs until May 2028, or sooner as determined by RRHS.

The role requires CN Ontario registration, BCLS, IV insertion, glucometer use, and BDC medication administration, with strong patient assessment and teamwork skills. Candidates should demonstrate warmth, empathy, and the ability to work under high stress, with flexibility for all shifts

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current BCLS certification is required.
• Experience with IV insertion, Glucometer testing and BDC medication is required.
• Well-developed Patient Assessment, Intervention and Evaluation skills.
• Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated warmth, interest and empathy in interactions with patients.
• Demonstrated ability to function in a very demanding environment.
• Demonstrated ability to give and receive feedback in an open and constructive manner.

The primary location for this position is: Alexandra Hospital Ingersoll

The duration of this temporary contract would be approximately until May 2028, or sooner as determined by RRHS

Other pertinent conditions:

• Salary per the ONA collective agreement ($41.15 per hour to $58.98 per hour)

Must be available to work all shifts as required, which may include; weekends, statutory holidays, days, evenings and night shifts. Hours are subject to change based on operation needs of the hospital.
